We are a mission-driven team of investigators, analysts, lawyers, and technologists who volunteer our time to lead impactful investigations, develop open source tools and train others to empower them to do the same.
OSINT for Ukraine uses OSINT to investigate international crimes, combat disinformation, and support justice and civil society.
Role Overview:
As the Chief of Business Development, you will be responsible for shaping and executing a cohesive business strategy that supports the long-term sustainability and growth of the foundation. You will work closely with OFU’s executive leadership and departmental heads to identify and pursue new funding avenues that align with the needs and goals of each department.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record in donor engagement, grant applications and partnership development, preferably within the fields of human rights, international development, or open-source intelligence. Your strategic vision and relationship-building skills will be critical to expanding OFU’s impact and financial resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement a comprehensive business and financing strategy aligned with OFU’s mission, goals, and operational needs.Internal Collaboration:
Coordinate and lead regular consultations with department leaders and team leads across OFU to identify project needs and explore financially sustainable solutions.Growth & Sustainability:
Analyse and identify key areas for organizational growth with a focus on maximizing financial resilience and long-term impact.Partnership Development:
Cultivate relationships with external partners, donors, and stakeholders. Identify and pursue new business and funding opportunities that align with OFU’s values and objectives.Donations & Merchandising:
Collaborate with the Public Affairs and Marketing teams to develop and execute strategies for donations, merchandise, and other fundraising initiatives.
Requirements:
Proven experience in fundraising, business development, or donor relations, preferably within the non-profit or mission-driven sector.
Strong understanding of the funding landscape related to human rights, international development, and the tech sector.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
Familiarity with OSINT (Open-Source Intelligence) is a significant advantage.
